I start my day by getting up to date with cultural and artistic issues, both locally and internationally. Then, after meeting with the staff, I organise the activity schedule for the next month, which features art workshops, music concerts and literature readings. For these activities and projects, I have meetings throughout the day with people such as visual artists, movie makers, musicians and teachers.
Through my job, I am able to see how our work benefits the cultural and social well-being of Bolivians. I really enjoy it.
A young girl from a poor household in the neighbourhood approached me at the Centre one day, and said: “I want to come to this place every day because at home I watch lots of television. But here I read stories and do many things that I like." We are changing children’s lives at the Centre.
The projects that are organised and hosted by the Patiño Foundation will continue to contribute to the development of Bolivia’s future – both the country and the people. It is a pleasure to work for an institution that encourages creativity and contributes to the qualitative development of our country.
The Patiño Foundation is an institution with more than 50 years of experience and has created a better quality of life for Bolivians. Through its philosophy and its various lines of action such as education, agriculture, research, culture, child health, nutrition and ecology, it has contributed hugely to the development of the country. We have saved thousands of children from malnutrition and helped develop education, teaching methods, scholarships, cultural events, organic food production, supporting agricultural research, etc.
