Simón I. Patiño Foundation

We run four health Centres caring for over 30,000 children every year

At four of the Foundation’s Centres, our staff address health problems affecting Bolivian children. We provide access to high-quality paediatric services for children from disadvantaged families.

At our Albina R. de Patiño Disease Prevention and Health Promotion Centre, the emphasis is very much on prevention, where healthy children receive recommended vaccines through the Expanded Programme on Immunisation (EPI). In addition, the centre monitors growth and development from birth to late adolescence.

For acute and chronic conditions, services in both general and specialised paediatrics are provided through a hospital and outpatient unit by the Albina R. de Patiño Paediatric Centre.

One of the other priorities of our Foundation is the fight against malnutrition. We have two Child Nutrition Centres, located in Cochabamba and El Alto, which support malnourished children under 5 years old and provide appropriate care until the children reach a normal nutritional state for their age.
